Fast pace. High standards. With its 24/7 cycle and a constant drive to make our guests feel at home, hospitality can be a challenging career. At Arlo, we’re up to the challenge, but we also pride ourselves on taking care of our teams, even when striving to crush our next goals together.

As everyone’s relationship with work has begun to evolve lately, this care has never been more important. Which is why we’re not too proud to trumpet a few of our recent accomplishments as a company.

Arlo is … Inclusive

This one feels special, fam. Arlo Hotels was recognized, brand wide, as an Inclusive Workplace for 2023 by the Best Companies Group and COLOR Magazine. Arlo has always been committed to fostering an environment of inclusivity and belonging—something we’re thrilled to say our team members feel and contribute to on the daily. (Richard Tucker talks about this in a blog post from earlier this summer.) So, we’re not exaggerating when we say that this recognition could not have been possible without the collective efforts of our entire team. At each of our hotels, offices, and beyond, we strive to make sure that every member of the Arlo family feels heard, valued, and included. We do this not because we feel we have to, or to check a box, but because we truly believe that everyone’s strengths make us who we are, and that diversity is our strongest asset. Aside from being decent, human, and respectful, this approach—allowing team members to be themselves—is also a helluva lot of fun. The more joy we experience together, the more success we can enjoy together.

Arlo is … One of the Best Places to Work in New York

With four Arlo Hotels in New York City, this achievement is also well-earned and worth bragging about: Arlo landed at the #2 spot in Crain’s 2023 Best Places to Work in New York rankings. We have made the exclusive list four out of last five years, but the jump from last year’s #73 to the #2 spot proves that there’s always room for improvement, and that Arlo is doing something right in the eyes of our team members.

Each year, Crain’s recognizes 100 companies across New York City that distinguish themselves as places where their employees truly enjoy working. To create the list, Crain’s relies on a survey that employees complete, with their thoughts on their company’s culture and environment. Crain’s also takes into account what each company offers their employees, in terms of benefits, compensation, and things like considerations for remote or hybrid work schedules. Thousands of companies apply to be considered in the rankings each year, and to see Arlo’s consistency in the top 100 companies—and this best ranking to date—is for sure something to be proud of.

“Being recognized by Crain’s is so special because the results come from the team members themselves,” says Heather Berti, Arlo’s Senior Vice President of People Services. “They provide the feedback that what we are doing as a company means something to them—they want to come to work each and every day because of the environment they’re welcomed into.”

So, to each and every one of our Arlo family members: thank you … and congratulations on this awesome recognition you’ve helped us achieve this year.
