Get to Know the Inspiration Behind Wyn Wyn at Arlo Wynwood

Creating a new restaurant is no small feat. Especially in a cosmopolitan city filled with top-tier dining options like Miami. But what goes into the planning exactly? Where does all that inspiration for fresh flavors and vibey new spaces come from? For Arlo Wynwood’s new signature restaurant, Wyn Wyn, the answers to those questions lie both close to home and further abroad.

A Mouthwatering, Multicultural Menu

With its location in the heart of Wynwood, Miami’s vibrant arts district, Wyn Wyn caters to both discerning local diners and travelers from around the world. For Chef David Robbins, it was only natural to draw on his own love of travel and influences from different cultures as he built out the Wyn Wyn menu.

“We’re setting out to bring a fresh perspective to Wynwood, where thinking globally and acting locally is at the core of our philosophy,” says Robbins, whose menu reflects nods to Peru, Western Europe, Southeast Asia, Polynesia, and Classic Americana. Chef Robbins is also driven by a commitment to sustainability and works with local farmers to bring the best of Florida’s native produce to the table at Wyn Wyn.

Superfood-packed salads, bites, seafood, smash burgers — these and a host of other delicious dishes sit side by side on Wyn Wyn’s menu, which caters to today’s appetite for clean eats that don’t skimp on flavor. With plenty of gluten-free and vegan options, the veggie-heavy menu shines with fresh ingredients from local purveyors like Paradise Farms and Counter Culture Kombucha — as well as Chef Robbins’s own herb garden located at Higher Ground, Arlo Wynwood’s third-floor indoor/outdoor lounge.

Wyn Wyn diners will also appreciate unexpected combinations and flourishes, such as the Banana Leaf Wrapped Local Snapper with superfood-boosted purple sticky rice, house-made kimchi and warm coconut milk poured tableside. Meanwhile, the “Not a Burger” is a house-made, organic whole food, plant-based patty, which Robbins serves topped with crispy onions, local greens, tomatoes, a K-pop glaze and Vegenaise. Fries on the side? But of course. Ideal for groups, the menu also includes an interactive element, with the Hibachi Grilled Grass-Fed Prime Beef inviting guests to grill their own meat tableside and pair it with bok choy, Okinawa purple yams, gochujang aioli, ginger tamari, and yuzu pickled cucumbers.

The dessert menu features irresistible sweet treats that even the cleanest eaters can enjoy, including the Not Your Grandma’s Key Lime, made from cashew cream, local limes, Redland guava, and an almond flour crust. On the beverage menu, fresh-pressed juices and shots, local organic kombuchas, and fun, antioxidant-infused cocktails provide the perfect complement to the creative food menu.

A Serene Space for Connection

A thoroughly modern menu like this demands a fitting stage — and Wyn Wyn welcomes diners into a spacious, airy restaurant that’s equal parts warm and chic. The 2,758-square-foot space on Arlo Wynwood’s lobby level was designed by Humberto De Andrade, with an emphasis on organic textures — reclaimed wood, unique stone, and lush greenery — along with playful details chosen to cultivate a space where connections flourish. The furnishings feature bold colors and custom patterns, while dynamic lighting and oversized art installations create the kind of eclectic energy Wynwood is known for. An open kitchen contributes to the relaxed but upbeat vibe, while outdoor patio seating takes advantage of breezy, sun-filled days and balmy Miami nights that bring friends, old and new, together over sprawling meals.

That’s Wyn Wyn’s story — and now it’s time to craft your own, with a meal at the hottest new restaurant in Wynwood. Wyn Wyn is now open for lunch, dinner, and Lucky Hour, with brunch launching on February 22. Reservations are available on Resy, and walk-ins are welcome.
