Your Matchday Starts at Arlo Midtown

When global soccer takes over New York City, there’s no better place to be than Arlo Midtown, perfectly positioned by Penn Station with easy access to the NJ Transit.

What’s the best way to get to MetLife Stadium?

Public Transportation

Review the NYNJ Stadium (MetLife Stadiums) most updated rules and guidelines here.

he easiest way for hotel guests to reach MetLife Stadium is by train. NJ TRANSIT is the primary transportation provider for match days and is expected to carry the majority of fans.

Step 1: Get to New York Penn Station

Guests staying in Manhattan can take the subway, walk, or use a rideshare to Penn Station (34th Street). Guests staying elsewhere should make their way to Penn Station first.

Step 2: Take NJ TRANSIT to Secaucus Junction

Board any NJ TRANSIT train marked for Secaucus (“SEC”). The ride from Penn Station to Secaucus Junction is approximately 10 minutes.

Step 3: Transfer to the Stadium Shuttle Train

At Secaucus Junction, follow signs and staff directions to the Meadowlands Rail Line. Special match-day trains and buses will take fans directly to MetLife Stadium. The ride from Secaucus to the stadium is approximately 10 minutes.

Step 4: Arrive at the Stadium

The Meadowlands Rail Station is located just steps from MetLife Stadium, making it the most convenient public transportation option.

Important Match-Day Tips

  • Purchase transportation tickets in advance through the NJ TRANSIT mobile app.
  • Service typically begins about 4 hours before kickoff.
  • Trains run every 10–20 minutes before matches.
  • After the match, trains and supplemental buses operate on a “load and go” basis to move fans back to Secaucus Junction efficiently.

Alternative Option: Direct Bus Service

Fans may also use official World Cup shuttle buses from Manhattan, though train service is expected to be the fastest and highest-capacity option.

NYC → Penn Station → Secaucus Junction → Meadowlands Rail Line → MetLife Stadium

This is the route recommended by NJ TRANSIT and event organizers and will generally be the easiest way to avoid traffic and parking challenges on match days.

Guests may also travel to MetLife Stadium via Uber, NJ Transit, Yellow Taxi, or private transportation services.
